DRL Summer Race 2

Race 2 of the summer league is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 9th May at 7:30pm. We have arranged to use the Matlock Rugby clubhouse as a race HQ, which is located off Mill Road in Cromford, post code DE4 3RQ. This year we will be able to offer some parking at the clubhouse itself – this will be on a first come, first served basis, and please be aware that you won’t be able to leave until the race has finished!
There are three alternative pay and display car parks located on Mill Road – Cromford Mill, Cromford Meadows and Cromford Wharf, so please take your pick from one of those if you don’t come up to the clubhouse. Access to the clubhouse is along the driveway from Cromford Meadows or along the canal towpath.
There are changing facilities and toilets at the clubhouse, and presentations from the winter league take place after the race.
The route will be an out and back course along the towpath to High Peak Junction, before crossing the canal and climbing to the turnaround point at Black Rocks car park. All told the distance should come in at approximately 5 miles, with 450′ climb / descent.
