DRL Summer Race 5 – Shipley Park

Race 5 of the summer league is scheduled to take place on Tuesday08th August at 7.30pm.
Here comes some pre-race info for the upcoming BDL at Carsington water.
Directions:
The race starts and finishes at Shipley Park Visitors Centre, DE75 7GX.
Car Parking:Please use the Coppiceside Car Park near to the Visitors Centre or follow any marshal’s instructions.
Car parking charges apply in this car park:Cars and motorcycles.
2 hours – £2.50
4 hours – £4.50
all day – £7.00

Course:
The course is the same as last year.
From the Start and Finish in the Events Field the course heads out to Bell Lane.
From Bell Lane there will be a left turn towards Mapperley Reservoir.
This path runs alongside the reservoir heading towards Shipley Lane.
Runners then head along Shipley Lane turning left at Osborne’s Pond before turning left to complete the first lap.
The second lap completes a second anti-clockwise loop before heading back into the event field to the finish.
Water will be available at the finish but to minimise littering and plastic use could runners bring their own cups or their own water.
