This is our monthly, fast 5k race, held on the first Saturday of each month, in the beautiful Queens Park, Chesterfield.

Bolsover 10K | 14 December 2025 | 09:30
The route, starting and finishing in the iconic Bolsover Castle grounds, takes place over a 10K distance. It is largely rural and flat(ish) - well, in Derbyshire standards! - with net downhill on the way out and a corresponding climb on the way back in.
We raise over £5000 a year for local causes, from this run, and is a fantastic race much coveted by other clubs around us, thanks to great team spirit and atmosphere on the day and a fast, interesting course.
A fantastic local race event, not to be missed. Last year was a sell out so book early to avoid disappointment.
Summer Series 5k | 2025 | 19:30
Dates for 2025 : 23 May | 20 June | 18 July | 22 August
A series of four 5K runs, taking place over the Summer on our No Walk in the Park course and with beers at the end! Prizes for the overall winners, age groups (V35, V45, V55, V65) both Male and Female. Average times taken over at least three events. You MUST do 3 races to qualify.

Twigg Handicap | 17 June 2025
This is our annual 10k handicap race run from Holmebrook Valley Park through Linacre and back.
It gives the opportunity for all of our runners to compete together - anyone can win it!
A buffet is laid on after the event at a local pub where the Twigg Trophy is awarded.

Community 5K | Spring /Summer 2025
2025 Dates: 9 April, 14 May, 4 June, 2 July, 13 August, 10 September
In partnership with Cannon Events, this is one of our member only events, where we run a fast 5K and raise money for charity as we go. It's popular because it is largely downhill and is a handicapped race with a staggered start, depending on your 5K pace. We meet at Chester's Den at the Chesterfield football stadium and car share to the race start in Sheepbridge. Then race back. This fun Summer social run raised over £500 for charity in 2023. It costs members just £2 on the day.
